"Overall, our whole experience at Drakestone House was incredible and we cannot fault a thing!
Kate and Richard have a beautiful house, which has been decorated stylishly but still feels so homely and comfortable. Every time we visited the house for meetings etc., it was clean, tidy and smelt lovely. For a house with such character, it felt so fresh and modern. The amenities are endless; there is nothing that you could want for. It’s great to know there is always someone from the team on hand for peace of mind to count on being there. The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless and there are plenty of them. If you forget anything they make sure they can get it for you. The grounds and the views are stunning and Trevor does an amazing job of ensuring that they are kept clean, tidy and looking vibrant and colourful. The outdoor furniture was placed exactly where we wanted it and again was immaculate.
The marquee is a great size and in great condition. The tables and chairs were just what we wanted. The bar was in keeping with the marquee and was a brilliant addition. The size of the dance floor was perfect and we had the black star cloth which really set the scene for the evening and separated the dance area – this was a must have in our opinion and all our guests commented on it. We also had the fairy lights in the ceiling of the marquee, which looked lovely. The marquee company also put up our bunting and did a great job. The marquee company who provided the bar (Bar Bro’s) also ran the bar throughout the wedding. They brought fun and energy to the day and their excellent customer service was complimented by so many of our guests. They also looked the part. Zero complaints.
Berry Blue, the caterers, served our welcoming drinks greeting our guests with a smile. The portion size, taste, quality, presentation and choice of food couldn’t be faulted; neither could the professionalism of their staff.
The toilet block, which was tucked out of the way but still close enough, was modern and clean and a lot more than we expected for a marquee wedding with a portable toilet block!
The car park available has ample parking meaning that all day and evening guests were able to get a space with no problem
Throughout the whole planning process, Rebecca was always on hand to help and advise being accommodating and prompt in every way. Being able to set up the marquee on the Thursday before the wedding meant that we were able to enjoy the whole weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for Rebecca, she was happy to do anything we asked of her and she went above and beyond her role. She is a massive asset to Drakestone. The wedding day itself was so well organised and orchestrated, led by Rebecca who captured our vision perfectly. Having Emma to help with breakfast etc. on the morning of the wedding took a lot of stress away from us, leaving us to get ready and enjoy. We left Drakestone House to go to the church and knew that on our return, everything would be set up and ready for our guests, and we really were not disappointed. Throughout the day Rebecca was available to speak with suppliers and ensure that the day ran smoothly, which again left us to enjoy the day.
The whole wedding experience at Drakestone was amazing. Since our wedding, we have had nothing but positive, lovely comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the day and we couldn’t be more pleased with how smoothly it all went. Thank you so much"
