Jamie & Amy at Lapstone Barn in Chipping Campden, Cotswolds

We first met Jamie and Amy at a wedding fair, we got chatting about wedding venues and shared lots of different ideas with them. A few weeks later they had booked their venue and wanted to book us to photograph their special day too. We really looked forward to photographing their wedding as we all got on really well, and we loved the sound of their wedding day!

Jamie and Amy were married at the rather gorgeous Lapstone Barn, Chipping Campden. The barn is situated amongst the Cotswold countryside and the views are of endless rolling fields - such a beautiful Cotswold location. It was a very sunny Spring day, which was great as guests could enjoy the views during the day. We arrived at Lapstone Barn to photograph Amy preparing for the wedding, her Mum and bridesmaids were also with her throughout the morning. It was a great morning with lots of chatter, laughter and excitement for the day ahead. Soon after make up and hair was beautifully styled it was time for Amy to step into her wedding dress, with the help of her Mum and bridesmaids, Amy was ready!

Jamie and the groomsmen all wore Blue suits with a white rose button hole. When they arrived at the barn they had a few photos taken before greeting the guests. The guests soon were seated and awaited the arrival of the bride! Amy walked down the aisle with her Dad by her side, with Jamie only looking to see his bride walking down the aisle at the last minute. When their eyes met,the biggest smiles appeared upon both of their faces. The ceremony was lovely and included two readings, one from the mother of the groom and the other from a friend. They exchanged vows and rings, and once pronounced husband and wife they sealed the deal with a kiss!

The newlyweds were showered with confetti, and soon after enjoyed a lovely glass of pimms with all their friends and family, Plus dog Marty who joined in with the celebrations too!

Candles and flowers dressed each and every table of the wedding breakfast. The "Travel" theme featured a table plan which was a map, wedding favours were little suitcases containing a little treat and suitcases for cards and wedding decor featured throughout. The speeches followed the yummy three course meal. All speeches were full of laughter, happiness and joy with guests laughing out loud throughout, plus there was a tear or two to be seen!

The evening started with a sing-a-long with the band before the cutting of the cake, then of course the newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance. Soon everybody was up and dancing the night away ♥

It was such a lovely day to photograph and Jamie and Amy were fantastic to work with, as were their guests.
