Gemma & Calvin at the Hare & Hounds

We met Gemma and Calvin over two years ago at the Hare & Hounds Tetbury wedding open day, we hit it off straight away as we chatted all about their exciting plans for their wedding day. They are such a lovely couple, so we were delighted when they booked us not long after booking the venue. We kept seeing Gemma and Calvin at other wedding fairs, which was lovely. They always took the time to stop and chat about their wedding day plans, sharing with us what they'd booked, who they'd booked, colour schemes and all the details in-between!

The big day finally arrived, and we were on our way to photograph the wedding of Mr & Mrs Bird and it was raining! Not just a little rain, the heavens had opened, and the rain poured! The stormy skies looked amazing, but this is not what we wanted! When we arrived, we both went to say hi to the bride who was busy having her gorgeous make up applied by Lisa Ellis Hair & Makeup. I stayed to photograph Gemma, while Paul headed next door to photograph the Groom. Both Gemma and Calvin seemed calm throughout the morning and the atmosphere was full of excitement and anticipation for the wedding ceremony. Once Calvin was ready it was time for a few photos with the groomsmen before greeting the arriving guests. Gemma enjoyed a glass of fizz and a few photos with her Mum and bridesmaids, then the veil was beautifully placed, and it was time for Gemma to make her way to the ceremony.

Guests were seated and awaiting the arrival of the Bride. The beautiful sounds of The DeciBelles filled the air as Gemma walked down the aisle towards Calvin, they greeted each other with such big beautiful smiles. The ceremony included the traditional wedding vows, giving and receiving of rings and after lots of giggles from Gemma the newlyweds were pronounced Husband and Wife; sealing the deal with a kiss!

The Rain had stopped which was perfect timing for the confetti. Once the newlyweds had been showered in confetti we went for a little walk whilst the weather played ball. We were able to capture beautiful Bride and Groom portraits whilst the guests enjoyed yummy canapes, a glass of fizz and entertainment from The DeciBelles. The Bride and Groom portraits were great fun, with us sheltering under a tree as the heavens opened once again! We had a brolly for the Bride, but I think I used it more than she did as the rain didn't dampen the spirits of the newlyweds and they totally embraced it!

The Navy and pink colour scheme featured throughout the wedding breakfast room which was beautifully styled by Venues Covered. Wendy House Flowers had created stunning floral displays for each of the tables, which looked stunning. The speeches took place before the meal with both the Groom and Best Man saying a few words, before everybody enjoyed a yummy meal.....Thanks Gemma and Calvin it sure was yummy!

The Evening celebrations started with a game of "Mr & Mrs" which was brilliant fun for all, then of course Gemma & Calvin took to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple. The Two Bonnys photobooth was open for all to enjoy, as friends and family celebrated throughout the evening!

The DeciBelles "You won’t go wrong booking this amazing band, they are all fabulous!! We met The DeciBelles at our first ever wedding show in Sept 2017. They are so friendly, bubbly and down to earth. They sang two of our songs on the spot, we were amazed at a moment’s notice how they sang like they had been singing those songs for ages. It was beautiful, so beautiful that it made me cry with happy tears. We knew they had to be apart of our wedding. And we are so very happy we did!! We had the full DeciBelles experience.
