The ultimate resource for creating your perfect wedding...
This beautiful Real Wedding has been shared by the very talented Zara Rowlands Photography, a reportage wedding photographer who loves to tell the story of your wedding day in a truthful and un-posed way.
This was Zara's first and only 30 guest wedding in September 2020. Just as the Coronavirus restrictions were to be changed back to 15 guests, the wedding was brought forward with just a few days' notice but here she shows beautifully how a small and intimate wedding can be the most wonderful and memorable day.

The last few months have been very difficult. As a wedding supplier it's been really sad to see weddings that I had lined up over the spring and summer months disappear almost overnight. But it has also been awful for the lovely couples who have spent so long planning their special day and were excited to have the best day with all their loved ones to then have to make the hardest decision to postpone or cancel their big days.
Beckie and Charlie's wedding was due to take place on 3rd October 2020, but just over a week before they were due to get married the dreaded news of weddings being limited to 15 guests was announced, and so they made the decision (with just 2 days' notice) to bring their wedding forward to 26th September 2020.
This wasn't an easy task for the couple with having to contact suppliers and the venue to see if they were available, but their Disney themed wedding all came together!
Arriving with my mask and hand sanitiser, the day went without a hitch with a beautiful outdoor ceremony. It was on the chilly side, but the sun was shining.
Being honest, I was anxious on the run up to the wedding day purely because this was my first post-lockdown wedding. I needn't had worried - everyone was so understanding. From the celebrant allowing me to shoot the ceremony from a distance using a long lens, the guests understanding the need to be socially-distanced, and most of all Beckie and Charlie being relaxed and happy with anything I could capture throughout the day.
It was a very emotional and beautiful day, it didn't really matter that there were only a handful of people to celebrate with the couple, and in a way, it was so much more personal being so intimate. It's not something any of us could had predicted but I am loving these intimate weddings.
