The ultimate resource for creating your perfect wedding...
We just LOVE this submission from Kate of Copper & Blossom Photography!
At the start of the Coronavirus lockdown, the wedding world sadly had to go on pause and so many lovely couples suffered as their wedding had to be postponed, but as restrictions started to lift, Kate teamed up with fellow Whitewed Approved members, Burnt Orange, Cakes by Mrs F and Blooming Chic and they launched an amazing giveaway that would take place at the statuesque Grittleton House - and WOW what a giveaway it turned out to be...
With weddings having been “on pause” for the last few months, a few weeks ago I teamed up with some other wedding suppliers based in Chippenham to arrange a special giveaway for one lucky couple to experience a small taste of their wedding. With so many couples being forced to postpone their celebrations, the aim was to share some cheer and provide them with some happy memories during this crazy time.
It was so lovely to see the nominations roll in and the giveaway eventually attracted more than 100 entries. The lucky winners were Michelle Godwin and Mike Wilkins who had been forced to postpone their wedding from July this year until May next year. They had excitedly been planning their wedding for 15 months before being forced to postpone.
Their prize included a photoshoot with me (Copper & Blossom Photography) in the grounds of the prestigious Grittleton House. We also utilised the Orangery which was decorated with a stylish steel octagon frame and a neon sign provided by Alex from Burnt Orange. Also included in the prize was a two-tier semi-naked wedding cake with hand painted gold drip and edible pearl details created by Cakes by Mrs F - a delicious combination of chocolate, vanilla, pink gin and lemon! Judy from Blooming Chic provided a bouquet of peonies, roses, lisianthus, hypericum berries and scented pink jasmine ensuring that it not only looked beautiful but also smelled wonderful! Grittleton House ensured that Michelle and Mike could continue their celebrations by providing a bottle of Prosecco for them to take home.
It was such a lovely day and I was really glad that we had been able to provide this wonderful experience for Michelle and Mike. I have to admit that all of the suppliers agreed that it was simply brilliant to be able to keep ourselves in the wedding mindset - it has been so strange for all of us not being able to throw ourselves into what we love doing best! After the shoot I received this lovely message from Michelle which, if nothing else, made it all worthwhile!
"Thank you very much for the photos. They are wonderful and brought a tear to my eye. The colours, detail and quality of each photo is just like you are there in the moment. I can almost feel the giggles coming on again! We will use them to make 'change of date' cards to formally let our guests know the new wedding date."
If you like the look of this wedding and would like to know more, head over and check out the supplier.
