We are a quaint wedding boutique with lots of character and charm on Highworth, High Street in Wiltshire that certainly likes to do things a little differently and never afraid to do so!

All our dresses are handpicked by myself, covering a range of fabrics and silhouettes to appeal to all and can be ordered in up to a size 30. If you are short we offer a rush order service for a small extra charge and we also have a rail of ‘Last One’ dresses on sale which can be bought and taken away the same day.

Our private boutique is appointments only so you get whole place all to yourself and whomever you wish to accompany you, so you can feel comfortable and at ease with the people around you and our surroundings.

For all those ‘brides to be’ that have been thinking about their wedding dress, and are feeling slightly overwhelmed about dress shopping, as they have no idea what they want and don’t know where to start. Then please don’t worry as it’s always best to start wedding dress or prom dress shopping with an open mind as you won’t really know what you truly like until you start trying on dresses. Believe me once you start finding all the things you don’t like then it becomes so much easier to start to narrow down what you do!

Let us do what we do best and help you find your dream gown or outfit in our warm & fun-loving boutique, as we aim to make you feel calm and relaxed so you can just concentrate on looking and feeling amazing!

In addition to this, as dressmakers we also under take all your alteration needs whether you purchased a dress with us or not, and a fully bespoke made-to-measure service too.

We just love to sew and never tire of it! Just don’t ask me to bake a cake!

We also offer a full hand-made bespoke service using our in house dressmaker, for those looking for something truly unique creating something that reflects your personality. This allows you to own something that has been created just for you in the style, fabric and details of your choice.

Your gown / garment will be made in the fully experience hands of Nicola Gill who graduated from the London College of Fashion in 1999, so you can ensure your gown/garment will be made with expertise.

Fairytale Occasions also offers a full dressmaking service from complete creations to repairs and alterations.

"Five stars, definitely! I couldn’t have been happier with Fairytale Occasions and Nikki (the owner). From the first appointment through to collecting my dress, everything was perfect. I first visited Fairytale Occasions with three friends and was encouraged to try on as many dresses as I liked. This gave me an idea of which style I liked and what felt right for me. I chose the beautiful Suzanne by Wendy. Job done! But then I started thinking about ball gowns again and how bridal I felt in them, especially for our traditional Church service. When I chatted to Nikki about this we came up with a solution, a detachable tulle skirt. Perfect, two dresses in one. Nikki created the pattern herself and made it with layers of beautiful honey tulle and an ivory satin belt. I was over the moon with the result and had a truly unique and bespoke wedding dress which fitted me like a glove. I had my ball gown for the traditional part of our wedding and a slinkier dress for the evening to party in. I felt probably the best I’d ever felt due to the confidence it gave me. I should say the fittings are reasonable compared to other boutiques and everything is done in-house, so your dress never leaves the boutique until you collect it. Nikki does the adjustments herself and nothing is too much trouble. On my final fitting and 10 days before my wedding, I realised that I’d forgotten to get a veil. Nikki kept me calm and we ordered one, this came into the boutique within the week, problem solved. The service I received was extremely high and my dress and skirt were steamed and pressed to perfection on collection. I highly recommend this boutique especially if you are looking to put bespoke touches to your dress. Nikki is wonderfully creative and her expertise shows in her beautiful work. "When I walked into the little shop in Highworth I wasn't expecting to find ‘the dress’. At this point I’d been to all the big dress suppliers with racks and racks of dresses and I thought this little boutique was unlikely to beat the choice. I admit that I was REALLY wrong! The stock you have it perfect, simple, stylish and unique. I fell in love with more than one dress and haven’t stopped grinning since. This shop not only saved the day....but the owner was attentive, helpful and most of all, normal! You can visit 100 stuffy shops where assistants stare at you, tell you utter nonsense and try to flog you a dress. There’s only a few that will let you take your time and enjoy the experience. I would gladly and wholeheartedly recommend Fairytale Occasions to any bride who is looking for a great experience with someone who cares."
