Fairytale Occasions share the experience you can expect now

Last week it was with great excitement that bridal boutiques and studios could re-open and enable you to try on their beautiful gowns and find 'the one' for you!

For many, waiting so long has been endless and you have no hesitation in booking your appointment, but for others, there's a little anxiety attached to it.  Is it safe?  Will I still have a great experience?  Do I have to go it alone?

Worry not, we've got the lowdown on what you can expect from Whitewed Approved Fairytale Occasions - and here she explains how your 'new' experience will be just as memorable and fabulous as the one pre-lockdown!

We are a modern vintage style bridal boutique situated in the quaint market town of Highworth. Our designer dresses are created using high quality fabrics and focus on, ‘on trend’ designs for the fun-loving lighthearted brides of the world. They have been chosen for their quality and outstanding fit in a range of silhouettes to appeal to all brides-to-be. 

We are also wedding boutique with a difference. You can commission a bespoke gown in the fabric and details of your choice, allowing you to own something that has been created just for you, bringing your dreams and visions to life.

Our designers include: White One, French Collection by Wendy Makin, Richard Designs and Lilly.

At Fairytale Occasions all brides and clients are seen on an appointment only basis to ensure that every customer receives a one-to-one service and benefits from the exclusive use of the beautiful boutique, which is more important than ever right now.

If this is your first appointment in a bridal boutique, we know how very exciting and daunting it can be all at the same time, but we aim to make the whole experience of finding and purchasing your dream dress relaxed and stress free in our new normal.

In order to keep our customers as safe as we can, which is our top priority, along with helping you find your perfect gown of course, we have adopted the following processes, and to allow enough time for cleaning the boutique between appointments to keep it sparkly fresh and safe.

We have set up a new Two Step Bridal Appointment Process, so you can feel secure in the knowledge we can help you find your dream gown with our expertise from the comfort of your own home to when you feel ready to enter the boutique and play dress up!

Our Bridal Appointments Process costs £25 but this fee is fully refundable against a dress purchase.

Step 1: Virtual Bridal Appointment 

This appointment is advisable, but if this is not for you then you can opt to just do the in-store appointment. 

We offer a relaxed virtual appointment via Zoom from the comfort of your own home for 30-40 minutes. During this appointment we will discuss your wedding plans, theme for the day, show you dress styles and shapes, fabrics, and the alteration process and costs involved. We will narrow down your preferred dresses that you would like to try on in your in-store appointment and provide you with a personalised mood board consisting of these after the appointment for your reference. If you would like to invite other members of your bridal party to your virtual appointment, please don't hesitate to provide them with the meeting ID, or we can email an invite to them. If you would prefer just a detailed telephone conversation initially instead then that's absolutely fine too! 

Step 2: In-Store Appointment 

After your virtual appointment it's time to play dress up, so you will be booked in for an in-store one-to-one appointment lasting for 1 hour and 15 mins in a peaceful atmosphere. You can bring one ‘Star Guest’ to this appointment, and other members of your bridal party can also be involved via Zoom should you wish. We will discuss the dresses selected in your virtual appointment, and they will be ready on a rail in the changing room for you to try on. With our expert advice we hope that we can create some wonderful memories together and provide you with an amazing shopping experience within our beautiful bridal boutique. We believe in letting your individuality shine through, by banishing the bridal stuffiness for all our customers to help you find that perfect gown, and make your dreams and wishes come true. If the virtual appointment isn’t for you then your in-store appointment will last 1 hour and 45 mins.

The boring bit – but important! 

We are all very aware of the current situation, so when entering the boutique you & your ‘Star Guest’ will need to wear a face covering, check your temperature and use the sanitiser provided for your own protection and ours. You can enter wearing your own covering or you can purchase a disposable covering or a 4 layered washable covering (which will have been washed and kept in a sealed bag ready for purchase). We will also be wearing face coverings, and additionally visors at times for everyone’s safety.

We have placed stickers on the floor to indicate where best to stand for your safety and to get the best view of yourself in the gowns, and guideline stickers on 1m surrounding these points. We will endeavor to remain to the side or behind you at most times and respectfully request you understand us doing this, but there will be times when we need to be closer to either assist you with doing the gowns up or undertake any pinning for alterations.
