Meet our Supplier of the Month: The Flash Fox

Each month we like to get to know a supplier even better and bring you snippets you won't know about them from their page. This month our supplier of the month is Matt Fox, owner of The Flash Fox; a Whitewed Directory approved luxury wedding and event Photo booth producing studio quality images and prints on the spot.

Who runs The Flash Fox and how did you start out in business?

At first the Flash Fox photo booth was an added extra to Matt Fox Photography but it's quickly taken on a life of it's own. I wanted a 'booth' to match the aesthetic and quality of my photography and I think I've achieved that.

What is your greatest fear when you are working on a wedding?

Printer failure, flash failure, d̶i̶n̶o̶s̶a̶u̶r̶ ̶a̶t̶t̶a̶c̶k̶, the usual stuff! Luckily none of that has ever happened and why I have a lot of spare parts!

What is your greatest extravagance that helps you get through the day?

Honestly not much. Maybe the hidden coffee

What is the best theme you have seen at a wedding?

I always enjoy the ones that have any kind of theme, I make all the print templates bespoke so fit that with any theme you may have as well.

What is the hardest thing a couple has ever asked you to do for their day?

I've had nothing particularly hard. Getting it up a narrow flight of stairs is difficult, but we can get it done!

When was the last time you laughed out loud at a wedding? What happened?

What happens in the booth, stays in the booth.

What moment are you most proud of in your profession?

There isn't one particular moment, but getting emails of thanks from the bridal party makes me proud I added something positive to their wedding.

Where is your favourite setting for a wedding?

The booth has been in most settings already and I don't think I could pick one, barns, marquees & hotels have all been a great setting.

What is the most embarrassing thing you have seen at a wedding?

Usually by the time I'm leaving there have been a few pints had by the guests, so removing pieces of clothing is the norm, and often doesn't go down well with the bride or groom!

Where do you draw inspiration from for your work?

This is probably going to sound big-headed, but the main inspiration has been from my photography, with the aim being to match the quality and aesthetic of those images.

What would people be surprised to learn about you and/or your work?

We haven't been going for even a year yet but have had over 40 events we photographed that we would be happy to show you!
