A note from Natalie Lovett, Director of The Whitewed Directory: May 2020

"I can't believe a month has passed since our last newsletter to you - it's odd how it goes super slow, and yet feels like it's flying by, doesn't it!

I have to firstly say a big 'thank you' to the lovely Steph of Venues Covered - her inspired Whitewed collage has been so popular and it's been wonderful to see my news feed flooded with this positivity, and it just shows how wonderful the Whitewed community is!

I feel like we've settled into our new normal, although things have of course changed quite dramatically all round.

As you know from my recent email updates, I have been working hard behind the scenes to review our membership and events, VAT, payment plans and Wedding Show stand bookings to work for you and your cash flow during this time, and of course we will continue to review this as time goes on to ensure we remain in-line with Government advice and still offer you the very best service.

Alex has been busy working on our new weekday evening Planning Hub which is working so beautifully - reach is up by 1/3, and impressions by 50%, we've grown our new Get Wed with Whitewed engaged couples Facebook forum, and hits to the directory are up by 32%! Brilliant - and all this brings eyes on you, our Whitewed members - and keeps you top of mind! Never has it been so important to keep marketing your business, and we're delighted that our new plans are so effective in doing just that for you!

As our events and membership renewals / payments are on pause, Jo & Pippa will be on furlough until the end of May, and whilst they have been desperate to interact with you all, they have been unable to due to the Government rulings - but know that they send you their very best - our team WhatsApp has never been so busy whilst they want to stay in the loop with all the news!

Like you I'm sure, we have been through everything with a fine tooth comb and reviewed all costs, and as a result of us being unable to utilise our office space due to the current situation, we have taken the decision to give notice, BUT it will still remain our address for leaflet deliveries etc., and we will continue to use it as our 'base' for workshops and so on, as we still have preferential access to their meeting rooms, so that's a big winner!

Rest assured, despite these changes, our dedication to continue marketing you effectively to your target audience and help you through this time, is our priority. 

Keep tuning in to the community group on Facebook on a Wednesday at 1pm where I will share advice and news each week - as I've said before, I am not here to scare-monger or add to the worry, I'm here to be practical, helpful and strategic, and if there’s anything I can do to support you directly, just get in touch.

Keep strong, remain positive, say safe, stay at home. Each day brings us closer to ‘the other side’, and let's hope for updated guidance from the Government soon!
