​Meet the finalists of The Whitewed Directory Awards..​.

We are absolutely delighted to reveal the shortlisted businesses for The Whitewed Directory Awards! The 2018 awards saw an astonishing and overwhelming amount of entries from wedding suppliers across the South West.

The judges, three highly-respected experts in industry, were hugely impressed by the number and quality of entries, which showed both smart business aptitude and an entrepreneurial spirit that the region should be proud of, and due to the high quality applications, it was difficult to select the finalists. The judging panel comprised of three highly respected industry professionals: Sara Tye, award winning, top 500 international PR, business and organisational development expert and serial entrepreneur, Ian Larrard, Director of Business West in Swindon and Wiltshire, and Emma Richards, Sales Director of DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon.

It was amazing to see such drive, passion and variety from The Whitewed Directory members, and the judges now face the unenviable task of choosing a winner in each category!

The three categories in which members nominated themselves were as follows: Business of the Year 2018, Most Inspiring Person of the Year 2018, and Start-up Business of the Year 2018, and our brand new category-The Peers Award.

So without further ado, here are the finalists:

Business of the Year 2018
The Whitewed Directory Business of the Year recognises the individual or supplier that has provided a service that stands out for its excellence and attention to detail. The finalists are:-

Start-up Business of the Year 2018
In the Start-up Business of the Year category, judges looked start-up businesses with the most innovative service/product combined with strong turnover growth. The finalists are:-

Most Inspiring Business Person of the Year 2018
The Most Inspiring Business Person of the Year category, recognises the inspirational stories from individuals who exceeded expectations. The finalists are:-

The Peers Award 2018
The Peers Award is new award for 2018 and celebrates camaraderie between The Whitewed Directory members. Over the last 4 years, The Whitewed Directory members base has grown, and so have the relationships within it. Many members recommend each other and are often delighted to find out they will be working with each other, as they know they’ll be working alongside a professional and quality peer. This award allowed Whitewed members to nominate their favourite! The finalists are:-

The quality of the entries impressed the judges immensely by demonstrating business acumen, knowledge within their sector and a determination to succeed. There are so many deserving winners and it was a tough choice to select just three finalists per category.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL those businesses that entered, all entries were of a very high standard and we wish we could have awarded every entry.
